I’m pumped!
It’s Shark Week on the Discovery channel this week.
And each night there are new shows examining everything that has to do with the world of sharks.
I’m guessing my surfer friends won’t be stopping by to watch tv with me much this week.
Last year there was a special on decreasing your chances of being involved in a shark attack.
After seeing the show about the lady in Catalina being launched out of her kayak and landing on a Great White, I figured I might want to pay attention to this one.
But as they dug into the protective measures one can take to prevent an attack, I thought to myself – “They need a show like this to protect us from some of those scummy Internet Marketing sharks.”
You know the ones I’m talking about.
The ones that are constantly circling looking for unsuspecting buyers.
They prey on your fear and then attack with products that do nothing but leave you gasping for air and drowning in a pool of chaos, confusion and debt.
Here is how I avoid the IM sharks and how you can too.
I have a trusted circle that I listen to and can go to when needed.
I rely on these people rather than sales pages and promotional hype.
These friends I turn to have the same philosophy as me when it comes to promoting products.
They won’t give their recommendation on something unless they have tried it out or have gone over it with a fine tooth comb.
You see there are far too many marketers out there that promote products based on the commission THEY will receive, rather than the value that YOU will receive.
It sucks. But it’s true.
So until Discovery comes up with a week dedicated to Internet Marketing, protect yourself from sharks by building a circle of people you trust.
If you ever have any questions about anything I promote shoot me a quick email or leave a comment. I’d be happy to dig in a little deeper with you over email, skype or video to help answer any of the questions you may have.
