Free Internet Marketing Book Giveaway

I want to give you some of my favorite Marketing books!

But first I have to admit, when I was in school I hated reading. Maybe it was the subject matter. Maybe it was the massive amounts of tv I was watching. Or maybe it was those darn Cliff Notes that made it so easy to get the gist of a book in 1/10th the pages.

Or maybe the books I was reading just sucked.

Whatever the cause, it’s all changed.

Now I can’t read enough.

Some of these books – mostly marketing and business – are amazing!

They have made a huge impact on me personally and on my online business.

And guess what? I want to start sharing them with you.

Here’s how this giveaway is going to work. Each month I’m going to pick a winner at random from the comments below. The winner will receive some of my favorite marketing books.

I’m not sure this would be considered a marketing book, but I really enjoyed Think and Grow Rich.

That’s a great book John.

I’m expecting to see that one a lot in here. :)

The Master Key -10 Things You Must Know To Be Successful Online and this is not a book but Warrior Forum makes a good read

Eric Transue August 10, 2011 at 10:57 am

Sandra I’ll definitely look into the Master Key. It’s been on my list for a while.

I’m going to be updating my 10 Things You Must Know To Be Successful Online report soon. I’ll be sure to send out an update when I do. Glad you liked it!

Did a sign up the other day that involved selecting a security question. One of the options was “name of favorite book” … I passed on that and chose “mother’s maiden name” which is easier to remember. As for favorite book that’s probably an almost impossible question for avid readers – there’s just too many!

Anyway this probably isn’t exactly a marketing book but it covers situations that most entrepreneurs could relate to:

“A Setback Is a Setup for a Comeback” by Willie Jolley

Jonathon, I’m in the same boat as you. It would be awfully hard for me to narrow it down to one favorite.

Thanks for the recommendation of Willie Jolley’s book. I hadn’t heard of it, but will definitely check it out.

Dan, I’m a big fan of all of Seth’s books.

I was able to go see him speak recently. It was awesome!

You can read my post about it here.
Seth Godin Just Told Me To Go (…care to join me?)

Hi, Eric-

I have to second Dan’s comment. Seth’s Linchpin really impressed me. I’ve re-read it twice, and will probably do so again. He just makes too much sense to ignore.
From a business standpoint, I highly recommend virtually ANYTHING by Harvey Mackay, but “Beware the Naked Man Who Offers You His Shirt” is probably my favorite, and is valid both IRL and online.

Eric Transue August 30, 2011 at 4:40 pm

Thanks Doc! All of Seth’s stuff is definitely top notch.

I’ll have to add your Harvey MacKay suggestion to my “to read” list. Just read the reviews on Amazon and it looks like a book I would enjoy.

Doc Sheldon August 30, 2011 at 5:27 pm

“Swim With the Sharks” is another great one of his, Eric. It’s written for IRL situations, but translates very well to online relationships. Harvey’s a very nice guy, and and extremely sharp. If he’d focused on internet marketing, we’d all be facing some stiff competition. ;)
