What are some of the keys to success when creating a blog post?
First, you must have quality content! Don’t create garbage. You aren’t fooling yourself and you aren’t fooling your readers.
Second, if you want to increase the chances of new viewers seeing your post, you will want to do keyword research.
I have touched on this in other posts on this site and if you are a subscriber you will be seeing much more on it in the near future.
Today, I ran across a Firefox plugin that may help speed up your keyword research when creating new blog posts.
The plugin/add-on is provided by Wordtracker and is called SEO Blogger. SEO Blogger allows you to optimize your posts as you write them.
Here is how it works.
Once installed you will see a little “W” down in the bottom right of Firefox. When you click on the “W”, a sidebar will appear on the left.
The top half of the sidebar allows you to quickly research keywords and see how many searches are being performed for them. If you see something you like click add next to the word or phrase. It will then appear at the bottom of the sidebar under “Your chosen keywords”.
Now as you type your post as you normally would, the plugin will keep track of how many times you have used your selected keyword or phrase in the post.
It’s a pretty cool tool and if you are using Firefox you may want to check it out

Great looking tool Eric!
I am downloading this right now~
I will let you know how well it works for me, but I am guessing that if you are endorsing it, IT MUST WORK!
Thank you for bringing this to my attention!

Chris, so far I have found the tool helpful.
I wish it also showed the competing sites for each word, but that might be asking a little much for a free plug-in
I still use other methods to do my keyword research as well. But, this tool helps when I want to get a quick look on the fly of other keywords that I want to add to my posts.
