Go ahead and check out this forum Black Hat World.

I'm not sure what you are trying to do, but I would really try to learn and build on your White Hat techniques rather than resort to using Black Hat. By using solid White Hat techniques you may not get traffic as fast as Black Hat, but you will benefit much more in the long run.

Black Hat tricks evolve very rapidly because the major search engines quickly catch on to them. Once they do you run the risk of getting your site delisted and at the point you are really back to square one. It's up to you, but if you are trying to build up a steady stream of income with your site that you can depend on for months and years to come, I would avoid going Black Hat.

Another forum to look at with some great White Hat techniques is the Warrior Forum

Hi Eric,
I agree with you on so many of your points:
Lack of research is a big reason many sites fail
Content is more important than monetizing
  Analyze your site often

I cover some of these topics in my blog.

Andrew thanks for the comment! Feel free to suggest topics you would like to know more about.

Also, if you haven't downloaded my "IM Guide for Newbies" in the upper right, please do. I talk about a lot of the stuff I wish I knew when starting out.
