New Email Optin Form Generator From Aweber

by Eric Transue on November 18, 2009

As an Internet Marketer or a Small Business Owner, I’m sure you have heard the phrase, “the money is in the list”.

This is true, if used for the right reasons. Building a list to constantly spam your readers or customers may make you some quick money, but will most likely hurt your business and relationships in the long run.

Although, I wasn’t building my lists when I first started out, I quickly was made aware by some of my mentors that I should start one…and soon.

So I signed up with Aweber, which is a company that provides list building and auto responder services. You can create many different campaigns and keep them all separate.

Once you have a campaign, you can send out broadcasts to your lists, or create some pre-scheduled content, such as a 7 day ecourse that is sent out at an interval that you choose. You can have one email go out each day for a week after a person signs up or you can have one go out every other day…it’s really up to you.

The problem I always had with Aweber was that it was difficult to create good looking optin forms. Aweber did not offer a tool for me to easily make my web forms visually appealing to my readers.

That has all changed!

Aweber has just released an optin form generator to their clients. If you currently use Aweber, login and check it out. If you don’t currently have an autoresponder service or were thinking about making a switch the new optin form generator really increases the value of Aweber’s already exceptional service.

Here is a quick preview of the new form building feature.

Hello, as you may already noted I am new here.
In first steps it is very nice if someone supports you, so hope to meet friendly and helpful people here. Let me know if I can help you.
Thanks and good luck everyone! ;)
  • Let me be the first to welcome you!

Please don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have. I'll do my best to answer them and if I don't know the answer, I'll help you find someone that does.

    Best of luck to you!
  • AWeber is very respected email campaign manager. I'm glad somebody of their caliber is taking this on. Traditional forms leave much to be desired.
  • 100% agree. I am a big fan of Aweber, but they were really lacking great looking, easy to use opt-in forms. Although, I don't think they are completely there, this is definitely a huge step in the right direction.
  • Thanks for the information everyone. I keep hearing about the "warrior forum". What is it exactly? (Can you tell that I don't like to sign up for much knowing how the internet marketing works). :)
  • The Warrior Forum is an Internet Marketing forum, where people get together to share ideas and ask and answer questions. There is a wealth of information there and I strongly suggest anyone trying to make money online check it out.

  • I have actually had quite a bit of success with Trafficwave. They do a good job of providing a lot of support and tutorials for new users. They also, have some decent optin templates for you to chose from, but you can also use your own form and link it to your autoresponder. I, however, have not used Aweber befor, so I really can't compare the two.

But Trafficwave does have a free month trial period! I would adise anyone to sign up for the free trial and form their own conclusions, as an autoresponder is a VERY important part of your internet marketing business.

  • Darvin, thanks for providing the info on Trafficwave.

I have not used them since I am more than happy with Aweber, but your input may help somebody that would like an Aweber alternative.
  • @Eric I really appreciate your kind response to my first comment on your blog. I think I need to consider planning for an email campaign for one of my client soon. Also, thank you for the added resources. I am sure to add whatever I find useful to everyone here.

By the way, I listed myself for the subscribers only updates yesterday. Hoping to receive your updates from now on. =)

@Darvin thanks for sharing your thoughts about trafficwave. I guess I really need the trial as you guys suggested.

  • Thank you for your kind words. I'm not sure what kind of email campaign you are working on but this is a really good product on List Building.

If your client already has a list they are promoting to, this may not be the right product for you....but if they are just starting to build the list there are some great tips given by Jimmy.

Also, if you aren't a member of the Warrior Forum, sign up. You'll be happy you did.
  • Though I am a well-rounded SEO part-timer, I tend to neglect the importance of building a massive email list. But now I know where those spam emails are coming from..

Hmmmm.. Is there any other option aside from aweber?

@Darvin I've heard things about trafficwave at peoplestring community. Have you tried it? If so, can you tell us about it?

    Regards,
    Joan

  • Hi Joan, thanks for your comment!

There are definitely other options aside from Aweber. I haven't used any of them so I can't give you a review but I believe a few of them offer free trials. Please come back and leave a comment if you find one other than Aweber that works for you.

Here are some others - GetResponse, iContact, Mailchimp
  • Thanks for the heads up Eric. This is one of the reasons I always sused Trafficwvae instead of Aweber, but now I may have to give them a second look!

  • I had absolutely no idea this was a function of aweber and my opt-in form on my blog sucks so... looks like it'll be a late night (unless you find that reverse alarm clock we all need : )

  • I'm still looking for that reverse alarm clock Allen. :)

I have a couple sites that are in desperate need of some updates to my opt-in forms. I'm really excited to see Aweber listen to those that have been requesting a tool like this.
