Is Your Message Reaching Your Audience?

Thumbnail image for Is Your Message Reaching Your Audience?

I’ll be the first to admit that I watch a little too much tv.

And even in the age of the DVR I catch myself watching commercials sometimes.

For the past month or so there has been a commercial that comes on that sticks out in my mind.

I think its for the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), but I’m really not sure.

And the reason I’m not sure, is because I never get to the end of it.

The commercial starts off with a bunch of animals – mostly cats and dogs – that have seen better days.  I’m guessing they are sick, abused, or both.

I think this commercial makes it to about the 5 second mark every time.  Then my wife locates the remote like a heat-seeking missile and…

SECockpit Review – Keyword Research Taken To The Next Level

The word on the street is SECockpit is the most dominant keyword research tool to ever be released.

Color me skeptical.

I’ve owned and used some of the most talked about keyword tools on the planet.

These include Market Samurai, Keyword Elite 2.0, Wordtracker and of course the Google’s Adword keyword tool. The only major one I really haven’t tried is Micro Niche Finder.

Of all the ones I’ve tried, my favorite is Market Samurai. I love how the Market Samurai team continually updates the software.  Plus it’s a one time payment which is nice. The problem is, due to changes – not entirely their fault – the product is getting slower and slower. Plus if you aren’t using a proxy to hide your IP from Google, the amount of keyword research you can do in any one sitting will be limited. This is because if Google sees too many requests from your computer it’s going to put you on “time-out” and stop letting you make requests for a short period of time.

I’m always keeping my ear out for what the big money makers in the online world are doing. And recently I’ve heard quite a bit of buzz about SECockpit.

Turn Twitter Into An Automated Powerhouse

Thumbnail image for Turn Twitter Into An Automated Powerhouse

Twitter is an amazing marketing tool when used correctly.

But following, unfollowing, tweeting, and retweeting can take up a large chunk of your time.

Time that might be better spent working on other parts of your business.

I’m going to show you a Twitter strategy that will help you leverage the power of Twitter – on autopilot.

I know there is a big group that opposes posting on autopilot. The technique I’m using, uses a bit of autopilot and a bit of live tweeting. So you get the best of both worlds. I used to lean towards the side of the auto-tweet opposition, but I’ve changed my tune recently.

I know I have some good stuff to share with my followers. And if you do too, you want to be able to get it in front of your audience as much as possible. I don’t have time to sit on Twitter all day and only post at the “most active” times. I have other things to do and I’m assuming you do as well. So why not take advantage of the tools available and provide value to your Twitter followers on an automatic, consistent basis.

To do this I use two programs…

Internet Marketing With Kim Roach

Thumbnail image for Internet Marketing With Kim Roach

Today’s Internet Marketing Superstar profile is on Kim Roach aka “The Traffic Queen”.

I first became aware of Kim Roach through the Warrior Forum. Kim’s threads on the forum are always packed with valuable information and are some of the most viewed on the site.

Her ability to drive traffic and break down her techniques into something that is easy to digest and implement led me to research her more.

I learned that Kim does not have the “my way or the highway” ego you find a lot in the world of Internet Marketing.  She comes across as genuine and down to earth.  Someone that is willing to help if you need it.

I’m always looking to expand my knowledge in the world of Internet Marketing and you should too.

I found Kim’s advice on generating website traffic to be…

Was That Your Product or a Fart?

Was that fart from one person?

Wow, I think I’m finally recovered from last weekend.

My Sister got married on Sunday and it was an amazing event.

I couldn’t be happier for her and my new brother-in-law.

While on the dance floor that night – a person who will remain nameless did a drive by. Leaving behind one of the most foul smelling things I’ve ever experienced.

I don’t know if my eyes were watering more from the smell or my laughter.

I’ll try to get back on track now just in case you are like my Mom and…

How I Whopped Procrastination and Created My Very First Product

Thumbnail image for How I Whopped Procrastination and Created My Very First Product

I’m about to let you in on a little secret that allowed me to reach new levels in my online business.

This secret allowed me to create my first product and make my first sale with it, in under 14 days.

You may be thinking to yourself “14 days? Eric, that’s not that fast.”

Well, my product was a Wordpress plugin so it required some time to program and test it.

Plus, I had never created my own product prior to this. So to take something from an idea to actually making money with it in under 14 days was a huge milestone for me.

And quite motivating as well!

Anyone can copy what I did. It all boils down to one thing….

Get Cool Caricatures Created Online

You may have noticed I recently updated the look of my site.  I know I probably change it more often than I should, but as I’ve stated before I have a Wordpress Theme sickness.

Once of the things you may have noticed is the cartoon graphic in my header.

By the way that’s pretty much exactly how I get most of my work done.  Laid back in a recliner with my laptop.  My cat draped over my legs and a diet coke or two close by.

Probably not the most productive or ergonomic, but that’s one of the perks of Internet Marketing.  I can pretty much choose when, where, and how I work.

Back to my header.  The cartoon graphic which often is referred to as a caricature is something I’ve seen on several other sites.  I do enjoy visiting blogs that have an actual photo of the site owner.  But the sites with a caricature or cartoon have a…

WordPress Ruined My Weekend

Is it just me or did the weekend fly by? Although the weather is great right now here in Southern California I spent the majority of my Sunday inside. Why? Because I have a WordPress Theme sickness. How to Create Traffic When Google Falls Out of Love With Your Site

Are you limiting your traffic by focusing too much on Google? One of the most popular posts on my site is about sites dropping and disappearing from Google rankings. Being one of the big dog sites in the Google rankings is like a trophy on the shelf for many marketers. Some of it is ego. [...]

Time to Bust Through The Limits You Set For Yourself

Thumbnail image for Time to Bust Through The Limits You Set For Yourself

Last year I created my first Internet Marketing product. It was a plugin that made it easy to do Google Split Test Optimizer testing with a WordPress blog. Yep, I didn’t create my first product till last year. Why did it take so long? I’m really not sure. I’ve sold plenty of products for other [...]
