There are many ways to promote your website.
These include creating Web 2.0 sites that link back to your site. Article marketing. Video marketing. Forum posting, Yahoo Answers…etc. The list goes on and on.
Two of my favorite techniques for promoting a site are Article and Video marketing.
When I first started out, I used to write all of my articles myself. As my online business has grown, I have started outsourcing this process in order to free up time for me to work on other parts of my online business.
Video marketing is something I don’t currently outsource. At first I would just make quick little product reviews using Jing or Camtasia. These were short 30 to 60 second clips that just gave a quick overview of the product or site I was promoting.
This became a little more difficult when I began to promote products that did not have a nice looking website or demo I could quickly walk through on the web.
I had no problem creating articles for these products, but when it came to videos I was in a little bit of a bind.
That is until I found this product called Article 2 Video, which is text to video sofware that does exactly what it says… it converts text to video. Here is how it works…
After joining (Click here for a 48 hour $1 trial) you login to the site.
You then paste your article into the text box. I like to just take the main points out of my article and paste them in. If I were to paste the whole article, the video would be quite long. I am more interested in building up backlinks with my videos so I’m not real interested in creating a 10 minute video from each of my articles.
You’ll want to arrange the text into paragraphs after you paste it in. Keep in mind that the first sentence of each paragraph is going to be shown in the video. So make sure it is something important and informative.
So here is the layout…after you paste your article, broken into paragraphs into the text box, the program is going to create a slide from each paragraph. The first sentence of each paragraph is going to be the text for that slide. As each slide is shown a voice over is done which converts the paragraph into an audio voice (you have the choice of male or female) and it is read aloud while the slide is shown. Pretty cool huh?
Next you will choose the background for your slides. One background will be used across all slides. There aren’t a whole lot of options currently, but there are enough to get the job done.
Once you have a background, you will choose some background music. There is a decent selection to choose from.
Now that your content is pasted in, background image and music have been chosen and you have selected a male or female voice you can proceed to rendering the video.
Here is a sample video I created.

The voiceover on the final video is going to sound a bit robotic. I have played around with where I insert my commas in my content and I seem to get better results when I break up the sentences a bit. It’s not perfect, but for quickly turning articles into videos, it’s perfect for me!
Each of my videos has been ready in under 5 minutes. Your results may vary. Once your video is ready you can then download it in mp4 format and do what you please with it.
It is at this point that I suggest you distribute it to the major video sites.
You can do this for free using TubeMogul or you can use my favorite Traffic Geyser. Traffic Geyser is more expensive and has a monthly fee, but for my video distribution I wouldn’t think of using anything else.
So give it a try.
- Create your Article 2 Video account (48 hour trial $1 trial). This is good for 3 article to video conversions.
- Submit your video using Tube Mogul or Traffic Geyser (30 day $1 trial)
- Enjoy your new flood of traffic!
As always, let me know how things turn out for you.
